Prisoner 1056: A Survivor Story of the Holocaust
By Morris Rosenblum
Morris Rosenblum was just 14 years old when he was sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau, one of the most notorious Nazi concentration camps. He was given the prisoner number 1056, which was tattooed on his arm. This number would become a constant reminder of the horrors he endured.
In Prisoner 1056, Rosenblum shares his firsthand account of life in the camps. He describes the unimaginable horrors he witnessed, from the overcrowded barracks to the gas chambers. He also tells of the small acts of kindness that kept him going, such as the sharing of food and the singing of songs.
Rosenblum's story is a testament to the human spirit. It is a story of survival against all odds. It is a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.
